2024 Year in Review

As we kick off the new year, we can’t help but feel proud of everything the Jr. NBA/WNBA leagues accomplished in 2024. From making our mark in new cities to teaming up with the NBA for an unforgettable event, this year has been all about growth, teamwork, and creating incredible moments for young athletes. None of it would have been possible without the passion of our league operators and the drive of the kids who make this program so special. 

Let’s look back at what we achieved together.

Expanding the Game

In 2024, we welcomed 65,000+ youth athletes to the Jr. NBA/WNBA family, continuing to inspire the next generation of basketball players. We also expanded into 5 new markets, including Minnesota, Detroit, Portland, Connecticut, and Denver, further increasing our reach and accessibility to communities across the country.

A New Look for a New Era

We also introduced an exciting new logo and new look for the Jr. NBA/WNBA leagues, representing the fresh energy and continued growth of the program. This visual transformation is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to providing our athletes with an inclusive and empowering environment to learn and play the game of basketball.

Welcoming New League Operators 

This year, we added over 150 new league operators to the Jr. NBA/WNBA family, bringing us to an incredible 275+ operators nationwide. These dedicated leaders are the heart of our program, creating opportunities for kids everywhere to fall in love with the game of basketball.

Favorite Moment: Jr. NBA Tournament at NBA All-Star

The highlight of 2024? Partnering with the NBA to host the Jr. NBA Leagues Tournament at NBA All-Star in Indianapolis! Our young athletes hit the court in front of a global audience, showcasing their skills, passion, and love for the game. The energy was electric, the competition was fierce, and the memories made will last a lifetime.

Looking Ahead

As we wrap up an unforgettable year, we’re fired up for what’s next. With more growth, exciting partnerships, and our shared love for basketball, 2025 is set to be even bigger. Together, we’re not just playing the game—we’re building the future of basketball. Let’s make it happen!
